Ebb Tide, oh Ebb Tide. When we closed the exhibition, a third of my work had sold.
Wow.
Thank you.

ebb tide | photos

Big love to my clever friend Kylie Cox for taking these super gorgeous shots of Ebb Tide!

I can scarcely believe that the show opened only 4 weeks ago...and now here I am, blogging from my bed (the warmest place to be) in the Isle of Man...!

acquired

One of the many special moments from Ebb Tide: the Gold Coast Potters Association purchased this piece to add to their Historical Collection.
Wow ~ thank you.

e b b t i d e

The opening of Ebb Tide was magical.
My cheeks ached from smiling, laughing and chatting.
Stephanie Outridge Field shared some delightful words with us.
Our guests travelled from near and far, despite the foul weather.
We were proud to share our work with you. You picked favourites, you even gave some new homes.
It was my first and last-for-a-while Australian exhibition; it was bittersweet, but I couldn't have asked for more.
[thanks to Nadia for the delightful catering!]

[yes, yes I really did wear gum boots with my cute dress to get to the gallery]

[we looked so pretty! this doesn't happen often, so it's extra special]

[HURRAH!]

here + there

Sadly my time in Australia is drawing to a close. I am ineligible for any further visas and I must return home to the Isle of Man in 4 weeks time. My heart aches to leave, but I'm excited to explore new opportunities overseas.

I have lived here for 5 and a half years, first in Melbourne, then the Gold Coast. I came here with a head full of dreams of becoming an artist, but with little direction as to how to get there. I will leave having fulfilled those dreams and I will carry these skills with me to continue and grow my arts practice, wherever that may be.

Join me to celebrate or commiserate on Saturday 2 March when Megan Puls and I open Ebb Tide at Clay Art Benowa!
Doors open from 3pm, official opening by Stephanie Outridge Field at 4pm.
Let the champagne flow!

(oh my GOODNESS, this is REAL!)

humbled.

It’s a privilege for young artists to exhibit alongside their role models – I feel so honoured that Megan Puls has invited me to join her in launching her new work this year. You inspire me Megan, thank you for believing in me and sharing Ebb Tide with me!

invitations!

I collected the Ebb Tide invitations from the printers on Tuesday...yes, yes I was happy dancing in my car!
2250 were printed (thanks for the extra 250 Styleprint!) and this morning (Friday) I delivered 1500 to the Gold Coast City Gallery to be distributed in their mail out next week. The Public Programs Coordinator, Jodi, was impressed with the design - quite the compliment as she oversees a lot of promotional material at the regional gallery!

The Gold Coast Potters' Association Annual Members' Exhibition opened at Clay Art Benowa on Saturday 10 November. My work is exhibited along with 25+ members of the Association until the closing day of Sunday 25 November, which we are celebrating with a market!

[I'm especially pleased with the invitation, as I helped design it!]
