my creative space

Trying a new technique this week; ink outline first, then messy splashes of colour. Its nice to go outside the lines.

It is difficult to believe now much this project is improving my drawing skills. I used to be so precious with my drawings and I had such little confidence in sketching that I avoided it where possible (how did I manage that as an art student?!) especially in front of other people. This little sketchbook is teaching me lessons…mainly that imperfection is beautiful. More creativity today with Kirsty.

    Looking good and you are right some time it is the imperfections that make things beautiful.

    interesting technique! going out of the lines like that gives it the feeling of more movement. looks great!
