spoon overload.

Warning: there are many photographs of spoons in this post.
Tuesday saw me printing + painting cups and spoons for a special Springtime show at Clay Art Benowa...

Foolishly I knocked off one of the handles...
...but back to the spoons!

Can you tell that I'm a bit infatuated with these spoons?

print/handle

Morning: cutting + testing new rubber stamps and printing designs onto my teapots with great trepidation.

Afternoon: attaching handles to cups!

studio toes

Uh oh, hello poor neglected blog! I'm sure I did some work on Tuesday 14 August, but this only photo on my camera from that date:
[lilac toe nails on the studio carpet]
I must have done something productive that day...?

(I'll be back dating posts to avoid confusion in years to come...!)

silverdale dreams

A collection of wheel thrown Southern Ice porcelain cups, individually hand painted with patterns inspired by my childhood home, Silverdale.

Silverdale Dreams - 2012, Wheel thrown + hand painted, Southern Ice Porcelain, 1280C electric fired, various sizes, photos: Kylie Cox

Remember all those cups from months ago? My wonderful friend Kylie took some photos of them :)

Dear Dad, I hope you recognise our home place x

miami marketta | august 2012

Friday was the very first birthday of Miami Marketta! I was so proud to be there to celebrate - it was my 1st anniversary of market-going!

Big love to everyone who visited, bought me brownies, gave me moral support, purchased pots, served me hot chocolate and helped me pack up. You all rock.

ugh.

Monday morning; attempting to fight off the beginnings of a cold.
Painting like a demon.
Then buggering off to the beach to eat my lunch.

Beach time relieves all grumpy moods.

days in pictures.

It's been a busy week. The proper camera didn't get any use, but here are a few Instagram shots.

[glazing on a Sunday afternoon]
[blood orange salad in a handmade bowl for a special girl's birthday on Sunday evening]

It's Mud Colony day, off you hop!

good home needed for odd pots.

It's time for a tidy up in the studio. I'll be back at Miami Marketta next week (for their first birthday!) and to celebrate I'll be having a little seconds sale. All of the pots were made with love and care, but something went wrong along the way; bad glaze, underfired then badly refired, cracked, warped, or they just didn't look right to me.
